Smugglers Fest #2

We are excited to release details of Smugglers Fest #2, right here in Talland Bay, Cornwall. This years festival will follow on from the success of last year, and as promised we are planning on being even better!

Last festival raised £650 for ‘Air Ambulance’. We are going to donate again this year, to a charity of our choice.

General Information

Date: 28 October 2023.
Time: 2pm till 10pm (You can arrive whenever suits you, ticket entry only!).
Price: CASH Adult £10 / Children £5
CARD Adult £12 / Children £7
Tickets can be purchased up to the start of the festival (if available). Weather permitting, a small number of tickets will be sold at the gate (CASH ONLY). To guarantee entry we advise to buy tickets before!

How to get Tickets

At Smugglers Rest Café – we are open every day, except Tuesdays, from 10.30 till 5pm (weather permitting). Just pop in with cash and we’ll book your tickets. OR we can book tickets over the phone on our card machine (surcharge as-above), payment taken whilst on the call and ticket confirmation for reference. Names and Ages of your party will be needed. After hours – we live locally, contact us if you’re only free after 5pm.

Tickets are non-refundable, non-transferable (unless confirmed via contacting Smugglers Rest Café on email or telephone, no less than 2 days before start date).

(Price covers: entry to the festival, all music, onsite activities (unless stated) and use of bar/food offered. Any remaining funds will be donated to charity, alongside Smugglers Rest Cafés own donation. NO TICKET = NO ENTRY.)

LOST IN SPACE

A local band with an amazing reputation to get the party started and get you dancing in to the evening.. All our staff cant wait for the show to commence

CROOKED TEMPO

The best Brazilian samba band in the area! These guys are here to make some noise and get that festival vibe rocking.

WALKING THE BEAT

People say music is everywhere! And with Walking the Beat, it truly is! Playing good solid tunes from all genres, the party will never stop.

Other Attractions

Bouncy castle – 1 large Traditional castle will operate from start till dark, once it’s too dark it will be deflated. If the weather is wet or windy, they could be cancelled completely for safety reasons.

Temporary roofing tarpaulins will double roofed areas and offer extra protection, hopefully we won’t need them… (if weather is very windy these maybe removed for safety).

Face painting and glittering – additional cost.

Well stocked bar, also offering a real ale on-tap and a great local real cider.

Travel & Area

The site will run a drop off point for guests with tickets, at the entrance, we are running a NO CAR site during the festival. Mainly for safety reasons, please understand that it is better for everyone.

NO PARKING AVAILABLE ONSITE!

Travel to and from the site:

Get someone you know to drop you off and pick you up.

Organise a taxi from local companies. (Barrie’s Taxi, Jacks Cabs, Mattsacabby, Chariots of hire).

Walk to site if you can but PLEASE STAY VISIBLE! The lane can be very dark with moving traffic.

Car share with friends and family.

Driving? Limited parking is available near the café. Hendersick carpark, Talland Road near church, national trust Rotterdam beach, lower Talland road.

Food

We are keeping the festival vibe with our food too, Neapolitan style pizzas from 4pm til late, a truly authentic flavour.

Bring & Wear

Warm layer clothes and boots (pray for t-shirt and sunglasses).
Thank you card for the end of night pick up person!
Torch (eat carrots now).
Fleece, hat, and Mac (In the backpack you leave in the corridor).

Hints & Tips

We operate an all-equal site; all wristband holders are equally entitled to enjoy the festival. Using the correct space to wee means we have a better place for all. No ticket no entry! Anyone onsite without a verified wristband will be removed from site. Anyone resisting being escorted from or repeatedly returning to the site will be reported to the local police authority for trespassing.
